The laser pickup in this DVD/CD Changer adjusts its elevation to accurately read single layer and dual layer type discs. features 96kHz/24-bit Digital-to-Analog Converter for High-Precision Sound: The CX-DH801U boasts a high-precision 96kHz/24-bit D/A converter. According to digital audio theory, high frequency reproduction is limited to half the sampling frequency used for recording. Therefore, the frequency response of linear PCM audio in some DVD Videos can potentially extend all the way up to 48kHz (half of 96kHz). While humans cannot hear sounds above 20kHz, very high frequency overtones may influence how we hear the details in audible sounds, such as the crash of cymbals.
